The Roto Grip was tested by our righty tweener, Ryan Hauck.  The Digitrax Analysis was performed on a medium fresh THS.

First, you will see that Ryan is launching the ball at just under 18mph and the ball enters the pocket at 15mph.  He is targeting just inside the 20 board at the arrows out to the 8 board at the breakpoint, 44 ft downlane.  A couple of things stand out right away.  Firstly, even while playing this deep, the entry angle was still well over 6 degrees.  This ball is covering over 25 total boards and is still one of the most continuous balls through the pindeck.  This ball covers more boards than anything else in Ryan’s bag.   We didn’t anticipate the ball would be this strong, yet it is very clean through the heads, making a strong later read with booming backend.  You can use the Hook Power as a relative figure and 70.88 is the highest figure from any ball Ryan’s ever tested. It doesn’t mean it’s the strongest ball he has.  It simply means that this ball is very capable for this condition.  You can use the ball to open up the lanes as it can generate angle from deep inside.

You can see how it compares to the Raw Profit on the same shot.  It covers less board overall, reads 2 feet sooner and generates less entry angle.  Ryan prefers the controlled reaction of the Raw Profit on sport shots.  However, the Nomad Dagger allows him to really swing it when the lane opens up or calls for that type of reaction.
