Overall
To start, I’m a fan of solid single colored bowling balls. The orange pearl is pretty. So what’s this ball about? The Flux Pearl is a top end pearl asym. The ball fits squarely in the Mid Defined Category we recently established in our arsenal creation. The simple take is this is a clean and angular piece. We are on wood lanes on a very fair house shot. It’s 6.79:1 so a very nice taper, the way a house shot should be but I digress. 27ml are needed to balance the higher friction of the wood lanes. I started with one shot 13 to 7 and immediately moved 5 boards left with my feet. Then it was pretty much almost 100% strikes from there. The ball seemed to be a perfect match up here. Dare I say house shot killer but want to be careful of this overused cliche. It projects as easily as you can get on wood. Downlane was very interesting. I had room left and right. If I played a tighter breakpoint, say 10, it turned in just right. If I tested 7 at the breakpoint, it had this beautiful angular return. The way the ball went off the deck so consistently was kind of uncanny. I was wondering if I was just throwing the ball that good or I was matched up or the ball really is that good. I think it was a little of everything. After the first spot check ball, I missed 1 strike after that which was a 7 pin on a pretty bad shot. I did finally hit a wall when going 19 to 9 but the ball did strike.
One comment to make here, I think we’ve discussed the 14 vs 15lb specs before. I am testing a 15lb ball here as I felt the 14lb ball specs were a little too distant to offer a fair representation of what most bowlers might see from the Flux Pearl.

Final Thoughts
Our first look with the 900 Global Flux Pearl on this tapered house shot made me look like a hero. I felt like I could strike all day and I pretty much did. I am hoping to have a deeper dive on a sport shot soon.
