Jason is back with us testing The One Ovation from Ebonite. This is an interesting piece. You have a very big core with a low RG, fairly strong diff and very strong intermediate diff. While these numbers can yield cores that wind up being very forward, we’ve seen that the Centrex core has always had the ability to wheel. The One Ovation is no exception. This is a shiny asym so in my arsenal system, it fits in mid defined. No problems at all with that. You can see with the factory compound, it gets length with no issues but I love watching the round but very strong continuation. Even though I’ve seen other videos where it didn’t look this quick and Jason drilling it pin down to slow the transition, it still has no problem getting up the hill. It has that climbing type shape with very good continuation. You might think it’s fast off the spot but when you see other stuff that’s fast off the spot, The One Ovation makes perfect sense. Jason finds this ball to be great for the transition. So if he wanted to step down from the Zero Mercy Solid when it starts to leave flat corners and it wouldn’t make sense to get any deeper, the One Ovation is his go to so he can continue using a big core and shape on the lane. I like these kind of shiny asyms that make the Mid Defined slot useful.
Thanks for watching.
