Power Player’s Persective
Jason is back and showing us some of the latest Brunswick equipment, in this video we look at the Hammer Zero Mercy Solid. Today, we are on Anvilane with a fresh 42 ft 28ml house shot. Jason is obviously a power lefty as you can see so the balls tend to look impressive. But let’s down to what the ball is about. The Zero Mercy Solid is the type of big solid asym that easily fits in the Strong Defined but in the more accurate perspective. What I mean is that many times strong balls or ones that are intended to handle volume do not cover as many boards and that confuses bowlers sometimes. Shouldn’t stronger hook more? Well that is not always correct but really what you get with the Mercy Solid is not just a ball that is intended to manage heavier volumes but also one that is willing to cross boards with good energy retention. And the thing that makes this one above average is its ability to do both pretty effectively. The Pure Envy for example which was the last big ball from Hammer was earlier and quite rolly so while it managed high volume, it’s not one that is as easy to cover lots of boards with. The Zero Mercy Solid kind of reminds me of the Statement Solid from a few years ago. I remember saying the Statement Solid had a smooth transition but one that keeps coming. The Zero Mercy is somewhat like that if not even a bit more punchy.. Ultimately, this looks like an easy recommendation to fill the Strong Defined part of the bag for Hammerheads.

Thanks for watching.
