The Physix has the Stuff… First Impressions Physix seems to find the formula to be strong but continuous unlike many of the typically top end snow tire balls. There’s another ball we recall with this motion but more about that later. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: 375 rpm PAP: 5 & 3/8 … Continue reading Storm Physix Bowling Ball Review
Columbia goes Savage… First Impressions The Savage is strong. Pretty strong upfront, strong in the midlane, good backend. A heavy oil ball that still has strong downlane motion is a good formula. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: 375 rpm PAP: 5 & 3/8 up Average Speed: 18 mph (at release) Axis tilt: … Continue reading Columbia 300 Savage Bowling Ball
The Tactix is a Tactical Weapon… First Impressions The Tactix feels like much more ball than the slot it fills in the “upper-mid performance” line for Track. Boatloads of midlane and rolls heavy. This one is really interesting. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: 375 rpm PAP: 5 & 3/8 up Average Speed: … Continue reading Track Tactix Bowling Ball Review
The Kinetic goes Amethyst… First Impressions The Kinetic Amethyst looks to fill a gap in the Track lineup where you need a cleaner look. It’s clean for sure. Not as snappy as we thought it would be but has potential. Our Testers: Justin Kleinspehn (Righty) Style: High Rev RPM: 475 rpm PAP: 5 & 1 … Continue reading Track Kinetic Amethyst Bowling Ball Review
Winning… First Impressions Honestly, wasn’t totally sure what to expect initially. After throwing the winner, we were all like, “Wow!” Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: 375 rpm PAP: 5 & 3/8 up Average Speed: 18 mph (at release) Axis tilt: low Axis rotation: medium Test Equipment: 14 Pounds Layout: 65 x 5 … Continue reading Roto Grip Winner Bowling Ball Review
Queue the Angelic Music… First Impressions Halo is as expected, a really strong piece, cleaner than you would expect for a really aggressive cover, smooth in the midlane and that asym break towards the pocket. Really the step up to the Idol we “figured” it would be. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: … Continue reading Roto Grip Halo Bowling Ball Review
The Blade Goes Rogue… First Impressions With all the talk about the Hexion coverstock, we’ve been somewhat longing for more aggressive reaction to dry from Motiv. The Rogue Blade hits the mark. It’s not only strong midlane but has more punch than we’ve seen from any other Hexion release. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: … Continue reading Motiv Rogue Blade Bowling Ball Review
The Precision is Patriotic… First Impressions Impressed right out of the gate with the Track Precision. The red, white, and blue though… Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: 375 rpm PAP: 5 & 3/8 up Average Speed: 18 mph (at release) Axis tilt: low Axis rotation: medium Test Equipment: 14 Pounds Layout: 65 … Continue reading Track Precision Bowling Ball Review

The Master Class Is In Session… First Impressions If you got it flaunt it. Ebonite has a winner in the Enhanced V2 core. Put it in a stronger, smoother cover and it accentuates what this core is all about. Everybody loves the GB3. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: 375 rpm PAP: 5 … Continue reading Ebonite Gamebreaker 3 Bowling Ball Review
The Matrix…In Color… First Impressions The Matrix Solid is colorful, strong but still punchy. This Match Up is On Fire… First Impressions The Storm Match Up Black Pearl is so dark and dull, it looks like a solid. I’m fine with that. Threw the first ball and I was like, “Holy backend Batman!” Uh…OK. Wasn’t expecting that. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) Style: Tweener RPM: 375 rpm PAP: 5 … Continue reading Storm Match Up Black Pearl Bowling Ball Review

Does the Intense Have the Fire? First Impressions The Storm Intense Fire is smooth. Not quite as buttery as the Code Red but I think that’s a good thing. It’s got a bit more oomph! It smells like Cinnamon…er…Lave Spice. Reminds me of one of my favorite balls of all time, the Storm Trauma! Our … Continue reading Storm Intense Fire Bowling Ball Review
This Hammer is even more Scandalous… First Impressions I was immediately attracted to the Hammer Scandal/S roll. The cover gives it a midlane read while the ball seems to have the “reliable” pop downlane. That’s usually a good recipe. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) RPM: 380 rpm PAP: 5 & 3/8 up Average Speed: 18 … Continue reading Hammer Scandal/S Bowling Ball Review
The Black Widow Urethane is Lethal… First Impressions The Black Widow Urethane is one of if not the strongest urethane ball on the market. This ball can find its place into many bowlers’ bags. Our Tester: Justin Kleinspehn (Righty) Style: High Rev RPM: 475 rpm PAP: 5 & 1 1/4 up Average Speed: 19.5 mph … Continue reading Hammer Black Widow Urethane Bowling Ball Review
The Villain is The Real Deal… First Impressions To my eye, the Motiv Villain is a legit benchmark ball. Surprisingly, this slot is not the easiest to fill. Maybe its my expectations but if the Villain fits there, its filling some pretty big shoes. Our Testers: Tamer Elbaga (Lefty) RPM: 380 rpm PAP: 5 & … Continue reading Motiv Villain Bowling Ball Review
